First borrowed from library. After renewing twice, knew I had to buy it. It's great for anyone, watercolorist or not, who wants to improve their color skills. For clothing or web design, painting or illustration. Universally inspiring book. Lovely images and lively text. A real keeper! Great book, great condition and arrived quickly. LOVE getting books from Amazon. Great deals sometimes. For this artist.
I am new to watercolor painting, and though it is written for more experienced artists, I thought this book would give me an intimate preview of the medium, its problems and possibilities as viewed through the eyes of accomplished professional artists. It certainly did that, and will be a trusty reference and guide as I advance in my painting skills. A gem, especially for the $2.99 price!
Like someone else, who had written a very positive review about this book , I also found myself getting this book from the public library several times. So I, too, decided that I really needed my own copy. It is that good and inspirational. A useful book and worthy of being in my art book collection - So useful, I haven't put the book in my book case after months of use. Happy painting!
I bought this book by accident, while trying to use a couoon.. But before I returned I it I started reading and then read iit all and will keep it on my tablet. It is very well designed to be able to find the topiic you want and to re-find informayion. But most of all iit is like having a group of fellow artists on hand when you are alone painting and feel something is not working for you . Read and ponder ........This book will get your mind unstuck!!. This s diverse. Group of companions at hand wiith techniques and strategies to share. Apologies fort misspells, I can not read these microscopic letters and can't enlarge!!!!!
I have a lot of watercolor books. This is a little gem. It's one of the rare ones that is worth every penny. Really clear instructions for intermediate level. I highly recommend.
The information was easy to assimilate and lent itself to be instantly applied in practice! It did not talk above the reader as some instructional books tend to do, rather it spoke as directly to my artistic endeavors to date. The renditions were easy on the eye and lent information in picture form as well as verbally. I found no fault at all.
Great informative book. Full of helpful tips to improve your artwork. Well worth the purchase.
There is so much information for a reasonable price. I especially liked all the tips on mixing watercolours to make vibrant new colors
